Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Compatly ("the Service", operated by Atlantis Services), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you're using Compatly on behalf of an organization, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. The service

Compatly lets you upload a Bukkit/Paper/Spigot plugin jar and have it booted against a matrix of Minecraft server software and versions in short-lived, isolated server instances, so you can see boot failures, exceptions, and deprecated API usage before your players do. Test instances are ephemeral: they're created for a single test run and destroyed afterward. We don't guarantee any particular software/version combination will be available indefinitely — the supported matrix changes as Minecraft itself does.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Google. We don't have — and don't want — a copy of a password for your account. Keep your Google account secure; anyone with access to it has access to your Compatly account, credit balance, and job history. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Credits & billing

• • Credit is purchased with cryptocurrency through a third-party payment processor. We never take custody of your crypto directly — the processor converts and settles it.
• • Credit is prepaid, non-refundable, and non-withdrawable. It has no cash value outside the Service and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged back for currency.
• • Each software × version instance you run against a jar costs a fixed amount of credit, shown before you submit a job. If a test fails because of a legitimate problem in your plugin, that's the product working correctly — it isn't refunded.
• • If a target fails because of a fault on our end (for example, the test instance never booted at all), that target's cost is refunded to your balance.

5. Uploads & acceptable use

You're responsible for what you upload. You agree not to upload a jar that:

• • contains malware, or is designed to access, exfiltrate, or damage systems or data outside its own test instance;
• • you don't have the right to test — don't upload someone else's closed-source plugin without permission;
• • attempts to detect that it's running in a test environment and behave differently, or attempts to break out of the isolated instance it's given;
• • is illegal to distribute or use in your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to review uploaded jars before running them, and to refuse to run or to remove any job that violates this section.

6. Minecraft EULA

Every test instance the Service spins up runs real Minecraft server software (Paper, Spigot, Purpur, Folia, or similar), which is itself built on and requires Mojang's Minecraft: Java Edition software. By using the Service, you acknowledge that these instances are subject to, and you agree to be bound by, the Minecraft End User License Agreement and Mojang's usage guidelines, to the extent they apply to running and testing plugin jars in an automated, non-public server environment. You're responsible for ensuring your own plugin and its use of the Minecraft/Bukkit API also complies with that EULA. Compatly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang or Microsoft.

7. Suspension & termination

We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, abuses the Service (for example, using it as a general-purpose code execution platform unrelated to plugin compatibility testing), or poses a risk to our infrastructure or other users. Remaining credit on a suspended account is not refunded if the suspension was for a violation of these terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." A passing result on Compatly is not a guarantee your plugin will run without issue on a live server — real servers run with different configurations, other plugins, and different hardware than our isolated test instances. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlantis Services is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or player trust resulting from a plugin issue the Service did or didn't catch. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount of credit you purchased in the three months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
